Fall Festival – Our biggest event of the year!

It’s that time of year again!

Sierra’s fabulous Fall Festival is right around the corner!  The festival will be held on school grounds Friday, October 24th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Why should you and your family attend Fall Festival?

Because it is a wonderful opportunity to show your school spirit and enjoy an evening of games, food, family-friendly costumes, rides, bouncers, pumpkins, and family fun!  Tickets and wristbands will be available online starting October 1st.

The well-lit grounds will be chock full of all NEW carnival games, bouncers, obstacle courses and slides for all ages, as well as the ever popular Berry Spin Ride, DJ, pumpkin walk, and everyone’s favorite game, the cake walk! Wear your family-friendly costumes for a photo opportunity and costume contest.

Tickets ($1 each) and wristbands for unlimited carnival games, bouncers, slides, and rides ($15 each) will be available for pre-order.

Hint: Wristbands are typically the best value.

If your child visits seven or more rides the wristband pays for itself! Look for flyers in your student’s backpack. Beginning October 1st, you may also order online at the Sierra PTO Store.

Did I mention food?  No need to rush home for a bite to eat before the festival.  Pizza, hotdogs, frybread, soda, water, popcorn, snow cones, and froyo will be available on site for purchase with tickets! slice_pizza

Additional activity details:

1. Carnival games for all ages including NEW duck hunt, alien hoop toss, crazy driver, dragon slayer, monster buzz, kracken ring toss, stand-a-bottle, and a spin art machine.

3. Professionally staffed attractions including the Berry Spin Ride!

4. A DJ and costume contest. Feel free to make song requests of your favorite pop hits. Please wear a family-friendly costume that will allow you to dance and play.

5. Photo opportunity. Get photos of the whole family in their family-friendly Halloween costumes.

6. Hugely Popular Cake Walk. This game is a variation of musical chairs. Music plays while people walk around a circle marked with numbers. When the music stops, a number is drawn and that person wins a baked good.

7. Pumpkin Walk. The Student Council is excited to sponsor the Pumpkin Walk this year. Bring your carved and decorated pumpkins as well as a flameless, battery operated candle to school the morning of October 24th. Student Council will be at parent drop off and the front of the school to collect your pumpkins. Pumpkins will be on display outside the classrooms for the school day and then student council will move the pumpkins outside for the evening event. web-IMG_9624-20131025
