Wanted: Gently used shoes!!!
Sierra students (and parents too!) – please donate all those outgrown or unwanted shoes that are cluttering up your house to Sierra PTO & Student Council during the month of January. The shoes that we collect will be delivered to Soles4Souls, a non-profit enterprise that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes around the world. Founded as a disaster relief organization that provided footwear to those most impacted by The Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004 and Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the organization has distributed more than 30 million pairs of new and used shoes in 127 countries and all 50 states in the U.S.
Donation boxes are located in the office and near the library at Sierra for students to drop off shoes. Any type and any size shoes are welcome!
